John B. Rhode

John Rhode is originally from Appleton, Wisconsin. From there, he received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his law degree from Marquette University. Admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 1995, he is admitted to practice in the federal courts (Eastern District of Wisconsin and 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago). He is also a member of the Langlade County Bar Association, currently serving as secretary-treasurer.

John’s primary focus is criminal defense, and he also practices personal injury, worker’s compensation, employment discrimination, estate planning, real estate and general civil litigation. John does both trial level work in the circuit courts and appeals. He has handled many cases in the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and has also successfully argued in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He has also served as a board member of the Appellate Practice Section of the Wisconsin State Bar.

John is very active in the community: he is currently a member of the Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association and the Antigo Library Association Board. He is beginning a term as president of the Red Robin Scholarship Foundation in January of 2011. He has also served as president of All Saints Catholic School Board of Education and president of the Antigo Optimist Club.
